1. Data processed
Snippy Notes processes the following information to provide its functionality:
- Text entered into notes by users.
- Selected webpage text and references to highlighted passages.
- Webpage URLs associated with notes.
- Note properties, including colors, positions, sizes, and pin/scroll settings.
2. Data storage
All note data is stored locally in the user’s browser using the Chrome Storage API (chrome.storage.local).
Snippy Notes does not require user registration or an account.
3. Data transmission and sharing
Snippy Notes does not transmit note contents, selected webpage text, or associated URLs to servers operated by the developer or third parties.
The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or external data-processing services.
4. Purpose of data processing
Data is processed exclusively to create, display, edit, save, and restore notes and their associated text highlights.
Snippy Notes does not use this information for advertising, profiling, or behavioral analysis.
5. Data retention and deletion
Notes remain stored locally until the user deletes them or the browser’s extension data is removed.
